Biology Students at the Rogers Resere

28th October 2019

YEAR 11 BIOLOGY STUDENTS FROM HIGHFIELDS STATE SECONDARY COLLEGE

Thanks to the teachers for this wonderful update from the latest work by students at the Rogers Reserve, Highfields.

Year 11 Biology students finalised their field studies on Friday at Charles and Motee Rogers Reserve. Collection of data was capped off with invertebrate surveys, biodiversity site assessments and groundcover surveys. Students were wowed by the observations of a plethora of native species including laughing Kookaburras, squawking Lorikeets, King Parrots, Galahs and Cockatoos, wooping Bronzewings, buzzing Bees and a bounding Wallaby. How amazing to have this across the road from our school! Thank you Amaroo Environmental Education Centre for all your wisdom and 'know-how'.
